The adoption of an appropriate and effective methodology for the software development is a key factor for a successful business.
Standardized software development practices will reduce the efforts, in terms of human and timing resources, related to the development of SW solutions, and will allow the efforts to be focused on promoting the business.
This 3-day workshop, from October 24th till the 26th, 2007, at IRI, introduced the main SW development methodologies.
Some general templates used for documenting the phases of software development lifecycle (from Analysis to Testing) were presented and discussed. The 35 participants from 14 companies got an overview of the main UML diagrams used for modelling the software requirements and design and took part in an active interaction later in the course of the workshop.
The first day was intended as an introduction for project managers and CEOs, while the rest was a training course for SW developers..
