Professor Akram Najjar gave a four day workshop, from May 28th till the 30th, on modern IT project management at Holiday Inn Hotel in Verdun-Beirut.
This workshop trained IT professionals on the principles and methods of Modern Project Management.
It differentiated between the responsibilities of IT professionals and IT project Managers whose confusion has caused a lot of IT projects to fail. It concentrated on more than 9 areas of the PMI’s project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
Moreover, it concentrated on showing “How” a project can be managed and not only “What” is needed to manage it. The workshop also focused on planning and its importance and the various techniques and skills needed to monitor and control projects.
Participants from different companies gained PMI points for attending the workshop and were highly satisfied with the added value it provided..
